The wonder and beauty of the Australian bush has fascinated and enchanted me every since I was a child.

Forty years have passed and I fall more and more in love with our wonderful country.

So rather than paint a realistic image, I wanted to capture a local scene, a place I spend many hours walking and bike riding, and paint it like I FEEL it and not just see it.

My colour choices and shapes were guided by every joyous memory, every cool breeze I've felt rush over me, all the scents of wild native flowers and trees that have filled my very being, and every ray of sunshine bursting through the trees.
